Coming up with an idea for the perfect new product can be frustrating. The constant thinking of what a new product idea becomes very exhausting. Suddenly, every new idea you have for the latest new product is currently on the market. Instead of thinking of 'the perfect new product', think of a function or use for a new product which will make your life or your neighbour's life a little easier, a little more enjoyable. It is easier to develop a product to satisfy a consumer's need or demand. You could be playing a game of darts, you could be in the middle of a great meal, you could be working around the house, or driving on a long trip, when all of a sudden you realize, 'I wish somebody would make a little gadget to make this job easier'. Remember when you first tried to fill taco shells. The filling of the taco shells wasn't the problem. It was not knowing what to do with the taco after it has been filled. Well, you could stand there and simply eat the taco. Or you could line up the hungry titans and keep the line moving until everyone had enough to eat. Or you could have developed a multiple ceramic 'taco' holder to hold those taco shell when filling them. This product would have made your life easier. Some people are full of new and exciting ideas. They are like a never ending fountain -- their ideas seem to just bubble over as they bounce from one new creation to another. Still others like to improve upon an existing product. These people are quick to realize that little or no thought went into developing the original product. If they had taken the time we seek a professional designer to help them, they would still have a 'number one' selling product. But they didn't. So they leave themselves vulnerable for someone else to improve their product and take over the 'number one' selling spot. Improving upon old and existing products may sound easy, but in a lot cases more thought and energy will go into improving products rather than creating them. Whatever the idea, your product's success will depend on good design. So whatever your idea, a professional designer can get you to the next step without that extra cost of having to continually re-start the process.
